The U.S. Team is getting pumped!

The 12th Annual U.S. Sumo Open will be a great practice for October’s World Championships in Hong Kong.

Because the World Championships, scheduled in Egypt, was canceled last year, there’s a good possibility that there will be new faces and new talent.

As seasoned veterans, this will be Kelly Gneiting and Trent Sabo’s 8th trip to the World Championships, and Kena Heffernan’s 11th.  However, all three woman’s competitors, as well as Tyler Olsen are new to international championships competition.

In addition Mark Reiman, who took 2nd place at the 2012 U.S. Nationals will be competing in the team competition with Kelly and Kena as his team-members.
